Everyone in the world has been criticised at one point in their lives. If we are being honest, a lot more than once, and that is just widely accepted.
You can call me any word in the book and I would be able to face it, except if you call me weird. Call me weird on a whole or call an opinion of mine weird, and I will kill you.
Well, I won't actually kill you. Too much paperwork and then there is the murder trial. It's really not worth it, but I will kill you with a glare. And sometimes that can be even worse. Trust me.
I don't know what began the aversion to the word really, but my body has developed an allergic reaction to it. One of my friends constantly says it, and someday she will be crucified.
I don't understand the word "weird" because haven't we already had long conversations about how everyone is different? How everyone is entitled to their opinion? How everyone has the right not to be judged?
Technically the word weird means that you are suggesting supernatural. So unless you are calling me a vampire, I wouldn't use it in everyday language.
Sure, when you call me weird, you may not have had a deep sit down think about my opinion or style or anything. You may just be saying it as a passing comment, but, it's a bit like the Real F Word to me...
We are all different. We all have different views on everything, and I don't expect you to agree with absolutely everything that I say because that might be even a little more creepy. I believe in actual conversation with opposing sides and interesting views. It is how we learn things about what is happening on the planet and it is how we gain a world view.
But don't take the easy route out of a conversation by just totally writing my side of the conversation by calling me weird. You may think that you are too well read and earthly to do something like that, but it happens.
You see, no one is normal, because normality is not a concept that I believe in. That's just conforming. So if there is no such thing as normality how can anybody really be labelled "weird".
