New School, New Start
Summer is over. Transition year is over. Fifth Year begins.
Except this time I am not actually going back to quite the same hallways. I decided to move school for my final two years. Which I guess could be daunting and scary, but thankfully, I am not facing this new challenge alone.
I just happened to bring my best friend with me, so I guess that it is not that scary. So maybe, despite the whole school element of the project, I could even put it under the category of exciting.
I have now completed my first week. Usually, the first week of school is quite relaxed and you are given time to adjust and slowly phase back from all the late nights and all of those late mornings that Summer usually brings. Not in this school. It is go go go right from the start.
Oddly though this is not a complaint. Yes, it is a lot of work, but not in a bad way.
In fairness, we are going to school to work. We are going there to learn, and damn is that what we are doing. Even though I didn't get a period to adjust or anything, I feel like I have been there forever.
Honestly, when I am talking about it, I discuss things as if I am entering my first month, not my first week. Which I think is the best thing that you can ask for.
I'm slowly adjusting to it; the one hour classes, knowing teachers by their first names and shocker alert, there are actually boys in my school now. (Not as exciting as it may sound; despite my mom's best efforts...)
Hope that you guys are having a nice first week back at school :)
