Work Life Balance
It's official - I am a leaving cert student.
My stomach flips just thinking about it.
With this new title, my job description has also altered slightly - basically meaning that I have to study 24/7 now. Every conversation is dominated by how many points we are hoping to achieve, and how much study is required to even hope to get that many. It's a bit of a lifestyle change, and routines and schedules are a little different now.
Meaning that I am more than a little worried about how this whole thing is going to take a toll on my blogging life, as well as my social life. I guess even if you don't have a blog or YouTube channel like I do, you probably have some hobbies that you don't want to give up.
And, you shouldn't give them up. I'm sure it has crossed your mind to do so (it sure has crossed mine) but then I realised something.
Your leaving cert is not the be all and end all in your life. To a certain extent, it plays a large part in defining who you become in your career. Which I think is incredibly unfair, but maybe that argument is for another day.
I personally do not want my defining memory of my teenage years to revolve around books and study. I want to make memories with my friends, go on dates, hug my dogs and you know, live my god damn life before it passes me by.
So, to keeping memories alive, and to keeping my blog/YouTube alive - let's kick this year in the butt.
