Long time no see. I have been buried in study for this little thing called the "leaving cert" and unfortunately my blog has kind of been abandoned in the process. But I did emerge from my cave of books, binders and blind faith to attend the wonderful #LimerickTagged event this past week; and it was definitely a worthy escape!
The idea behind the event was to allow a whole bunch of influencers (including little ol' me) roam around some of Limerick's finest venues so we could be allowed to discover all that Limerick has to offer. The whole event was ochestrated by the Queen of Limerick herself - Celia Holman Lee (& Limerick County Council) so it was no surprise that it was such an enjoyable day.
Unfortunately I had to miss the start of the event in preference of a few extra hours shut eye (for myself and my accomplice) but all the gang started the morning in House for what looked like a fabulous Brunch and fashion show - showcasing the first taste of some amazing Limerick fashion.
I joined in at the Savoy for a scrumptious and very posh afternoon tea - joined by some of Ireland's very best influencers, some of whom were the nicest people I have met in the industry thus far. So while having the pleasure of chomping into a few treats, we got to see some amazing fashions from all over Munster. Including a few pieces from designers from my own parts (I'm looking at you Tina Griffin, Carol Kennelly and Aoife Hannon) who most certainly never fail to disappoint. But I was also blown away by some of the other pieces that sashayed by as I sipped on yet another flat white.

After mingling with some of the lovely influencers amongst the surroundings of the lavish Savoy Hotel, I popped off to my hotel (the gorgeous boutique George Hotel) for a quick costume change. Because truly what is a fashion event without a complete outfit revamp...
Two cocktails (I am 18 after all) in Ted's Bar and we were off to the grand event of the evening - the LSAD fashion show. I have to say, I was completely wowed by the event as a whole. Especially since I got to experience the whole thing from the ever idolised FROW (which lives up to all expectations btw) It was incredible to get to see such talent showcased in such a beautiful environment. Every single graduate has an amazing future ahead of them - I definitely had some serious style envy after the whole thing.... And not just from the runway itself if you know what I mean.
Walking away from it, I was in no doubt that Limerick has A LOT to offer in terms of style and it is a fact that I am not likely to forget in the near future.
As everyone else headed off to get more cocktails after the show, I ran back to my hotel to have a good ol' rummage through my goodie bag - which was one for the AGES! So thank you to Sketchers, Newbridge Silverware, Keanes Jewellery and everyone else that was in the that huge sack of treasures that I was presented with!
After some well deserved shut eye in the George, we headed home at 7 the following morning - and suddenly the study cycle started again...
Until the next outing,
